Autumn Golden!

Autumn Golden, the hamster formerly known as "Golden Lady" (she was one of the Stevie Wonder bunch) is totally enjoying her new life with Michael, the awesomely smart and cool kid who adopted her. As you can see in the photos below, she is being well taken care of and is really enjoying her new, spoiled life!

What do you think... is she 1) cute or 2) Super Cute!??!?!?!

(The answer is "Super Cute!")

Happy Holidays from "The Fam!"

Updates from the hamster family formerly known as "The Fam," which was recently adopted by Colin and his girlfriend (sorry, I don't know her name!)....

The Mother has been renamed Macha, which means green tea in Japanese. One of the daughters--the chill, sweet one--was named Clover, and the spastic daughter was named Kitty.

Below, you can see Macha, Clover, and Kitty starring in their very first holiday card, courtesy of Colin, a darn good photographer! Note the homemade Christmas tree and menorah! (very cute!)

This may win for cutest photo shoot in recent memory... what do you guys think?

Happy Holidays!

Beatrix the Great!

I got word earlier this week that a former resident of the New York Hamster House, Beatrix, was chosen as Pet of the Week on Channel 12 News NJ! Beatrix will enjoy her fame this coming weekend, December 22nd & 23rd! If you live in the area and have access to Channel 12 NJ, be sure to check out this NYHH alumna and cheer her on :)

Beatrix was adopted about a year and a half ago by a very caring and patient woman named Ronni. Beatrix was incredibly sweet, but VERY shy, and with Ronni's patience and kindness, she slowly came out of her shell. However, Ronni has had to deal with a major health problem for Beatrix, who has to go the vet every 2-3 weeks due to a dental condition. Ronni feeds her organic baby food and other soft food that she can manage, and in general takes AMAZING care of her. And now they are getting a moment in the spotlight!

Congratulations to Ronni and Beatrix!

Anyone else out there have any NYHH adoption stories to share? Let me know!
